Now I remember why I gave up meat because that was too tough. In the end I decided I could only manage the offerings of this mighty, meaty banquet of nominations if I put the big songs on their own Big B Menu.
That still left me with loads of meaty songs and the only way I could cope was to cut out anything too heavy and expansive. To avoid extended grooves the meat had to be cut into manageable chunks and I definitely didn’t want any song noodles with my chunky meat morsels.
So here is the meaty Menu A with chunky guitars provided by Mountain, the Stooges, Mudhoney and King Crimson. Chunky rhythms come courtesy of A Certain Ratio, The Brides of Funkenstein, Mantronix and Forgemasters. The sharing platters are all meat with no gristle from Tom Morello, Glaze, Betty Davis, Mandrill and Prince Douglas.
Bon Appetit.
