A powerful, soaring, emotional soul number about by the troubles of his brother by the pure-voiced singer-songwriter also inspired by the three cities he calls home - Lagos, Laois and London, as well as words of the great Nina Simone: “Between a few worlds, I do belong.” Out on WORLD Recordings.
Caleb Kunle plays at a special multi-cultural event of beer and music set up by the live music-loving beer brand SON Estrella Galicia, taking place at Two Palms, Hackney, London E8 1EJ, on 11 December, and is joined on the bill by the eclectic London-based Karma Sheen, who serve a heady fusion of Hindustani classical, fuzzy 60s Hendrix-era psychedelic rock, with Sufi-inspired lyrics. London’s French-Turkish pop duo Kit Sebastian are also doing a DJ set. For tickets and more information, see this link.

I can hear it and it sounds like the sound of the horn
I can feel it, brother I can’t bare it no more
oh man you look so broken up, no body gotta be like that
pressure got you acting out, any second you might crack
Tell me, tell me how to ease your strife,
because I would like to, I only wanna help you out,
and sister won’t you tell me, tell me how to ease your strife,
because I would like to, I only wanna help you out.
I can see it as clear as the light of day
and I can feel it and wish I could take it away
you look so broken up, nobody gotta be like that
pressure got you acting out, any second you might crack
Tell me now, tell me how to ease your strife
because I would like to, I only wanna help you out
brother won’t you tell me now, tell me how to ease your strife
because I would like to, I only wanna help you out
What about your fancy car, when it’s gone away
what about your fancy house, when there nowhere left to stay
what about your fancy car, when there’s no one left around
what about your fancy car, when there’s nowhere left to run.
Tell me, tell me how to ease your strife
because I would like to, I only wanna help you out
brother won’t you tell me now, tell me how to ease your strife
because I would like to, I only wanna help you out.
