No surprise that this is the ninth album by the Australians psychedelic rock and pop band, a dynamic release with a wide variety of styles, intelligent, atypical lyrics, passionate delivery and wonderful unpredictability. At their most accessible they are like a far more interesting reincarnation of INXS with stronger dashes of Suicide, LCD Soundsystem and !!! (Chk Chk Chk), but are also awash with originality, leaping between psychedelia, dance music, jazz and pop led by frontman Nick Allbrook’s vocals. Standout tracks include the funky America’s Cup, Pink Lunettes, the dancey Pink Lunettes, Human Touch and Toast. Out on Spinning Top Music.
