Blurring the pastoral and urban, an entrancing, cleverly crafted electronica debut LP by the London brother-sister duo of Dominic and Fionnuala Kennedy recorded in Margate’s PRAH studios. Blurry synth soundscapes, chugging bleeps, beats, oscillations, fabulous syncopations, disembodied abound in a mesmeric mix of wonderful oddness, with standouts including the title track, 500 Ascended, previous Song of the Day – Hit, the slower, staccato Mama, the retro feel of Rocky, and the catchy yet also dreamily voiced (by Fionnuala) long, but beautifully crafted Comfortable.
